ZIV COMPOUND
Location: Jerusalem
Type: Residential
Year: 2021
Client: The City of Jerusalem
Prizes and Recognition: 3rd Prize

Description: The proposal for the regeneration of Ziv Center introduces 500 new residential units, with half dedicated to social housing, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility at the heart of Jerusalem. The housing strategy explores a range of typologies that adapt to the dense urban fabric while fostering a diverse community. Units are carefully integrated within a mixed-use complex that combines education, commerce, and recreation, encouraging vibrant daily life. By embedding residential spaces within a sequence of intimate public squares, the design creates a human-scaled environment where housing, community, and urban functions intersect, supporting social cohesion and long-term sustainable development.
